Course DescriptionStudents complete a full Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, gaining practical skills and learning how to care for, interact and work with young children to enter the Child Care Workforce. Students can complete this certificate one day per week for one year, with additional time required for work placement to complete the full certificate.

Entry RequirementsSuccessful completion of Year 10 with C grade or above for Year 10 English.
Other RequirementsStudents are provided with a polo shirt that can be worn with black pants. This will also be worn for work placement. Closed in shoes are required at all times. Students will require access to a laptop and internet access at their home school to submit online assignments. It is highly recommended that students interested in doing this course have completed one week of work experience in a childcare setting prior. We encourage students to obtain their Working with Children Check prior to commencement through their Home School.

This cost consists of $650 RTO costs, $62 Working with Children Check, $5 photocopying and $60 personal equipment, to be invoiced to the Home School by the Host School.

Department for Education (public) schools in Western Adelaide region (WASSN) will subsidise the training cost for students if it is part of the students’ genuine career pathway and SACE. Please check the level of subsidy with your Home School. Private school students and families please see your school’s VET Leader to find out about the VET Payment Policy in your school.

This cost consists of $15 ID badge and $45 polo top and a compulsory Regional VET fee of $100 for all courses, to be invoiced to the family by the Home School.
