Course DescriptionThis course is designed for secondary school students at Stage 2 and mature aged students who have an interest in developing administration skills that can be applied to a range of industries and roles. It can also help gain extra Stage 2 credits or used as one Stage 2 subject toward your ATAR. This course has also been designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to work in a variety of administrative roles in varied contexts. This course will help students understand the role and responsibility of administration support to use some discretion and judgment and to provide technical advice and support to a team. These skills will enable students to perform a range of routine administrative tasks including WHS processes, customer service, information management, interpersonal communication, word processing, computing and work practices.
PathwaysFurther study in a Certificate IV in Business Administration at TAFE or employment in the field of an Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk, Data Entry Operator, Personal Assistant, Receptionist, Office Administration Assistant, Office Administrator, Word Processing Operator
Entry RequirementsAs a pre-requisite the learner cohort must have defined skills and knowledge in basic computing skills in operating a PC and use of Microsoft Word software and other school/work base learning or a successful completion of Certificate II in Business. Students must meet LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) requirements.
