Course DescriptionThis course reflects the role of individuals who work as salon assistants and are competent in communicating in the workplace, interacting with and providing service to clients, and assistance to colleagues. They perform routine functions under direct supervision as part of a team. The introductory nature of this course makes it suitable for Year 10 and Year 11 students wishing to experience aspects of the hairdressing and beauty therapy industries.
PathwaysStudents will be encouraged to actively pursue continued training the following year in Hairdressing and/or Retail Cosmetics. These courses may provide eligibility for WorkReady funding (subject to age restrictions and changes to WorkReady – Subsidised Training List).

The Training Centre is located adjacent to Mt Carmel College on the corner of Russell Street and Symon Street. Student car parking is available.
Dates and Times8 fortnightly sessions at Rosewater Trade Training Centre on Fridays from 08:40 until 15:00.

This course will run in Semester 2. There will be two classes/groups of students, Group A and Group B. Group A students will attend on Fridays - odd weeks. Group B students will attend on Fridays - even weeks.
