DescriptionThis course allows students to build on the concepts they have learned in Certificate I in Automotive Vocational Preparation. In particular, students will develop skills in working with automotive engine systems and servicing electrical, cooling and disc braking systems. This course provides an opportunity for students to learn skills that will provide them with an entry into the automotive industry. Students must have completed Certificate I in Automotive Vocational Preparation.
PathwaysThis course can lead to direct employment (apprenticeship) in the automotive industry or further study at Certificate III level.
PrerequisitesSuccessful completion of Certificate I in Automotive Vocational Preparation or equivalent.
Special RequirementsAutomotive Program polo shirt (to be worn during session times) and access to IT for online learning. Students will need to bring a 3 ring folder note pad and subject dividers to each session.

Student Cost$160.00
This consists of $100 (GST free) Regional VET fee and $60 for an Automotive shirt (including GST) payable to your Home School (if needed – most students will have this from Certificate I in Automotive Vocational Preparation).
Home School Cost$600.00
This consists of a $300 (GST free) course cost and $300 (GST included) for consumables and resources. This will be invoiced to the Home School from Underdale High School.
