Description | This course exposes students to aspects of both cookery and front of house work. It is a flow on qualification from the Certificate I in Hospitality, yet it can still be a suitable study option for students who have do not have any prior hospitality qualifications. Students will complete units relating to hygiene, safe practice, interaction with other staff and customers as well as preparing a variety of foods and beverages. |
Pathways | This qualification provides a pathway to work in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. Possible job titles include: bar attendant, café attendant, catering assistant, food and beverage attendant, front office assistant, porter, room attendant. |
Prerequisites | None, however Certificate I in Hospitality would be an advantage. |
Special Requirements | USI number. Please register at http://usi.gov.au. Students will be provided with a loan uniform each training day. This course is open to Aboriginal students only. |
