DescriptionRegarding this RTO it is the school's intent to deliver. This course reflects the role of individuals who work as salon assistants and are competent in communicating in the workplace, interacting with and providing service to clients, and assistance to colleagues. They perform routine functions under direct supervision as part of a team. The introductory nature of this course makes it suitable for Year 10 and Year 11 students wishing to experience aspects of the hairdressing and beauty therapy industries.
PathwaysStudents will be encouraged to actively pursue continued training the following year in Hairdressing and/or Retail Cosmetics. These courses may provide eligibility for WorkReady funding (subject to age restrictions and changes to WorkReady – Subsidised Training List).
Special RequirementsSalon shirt, hairdressing equipment and combination lock (for locker) will be ordered on behalf of the student (at cost) and provided at the start of the course. An itemised cost breakdown will be included in the cost to students. These items will remain the property of the student. Black covered shoes and black trousers to be purchased by students prior to commencement.

This course will run in Semester 2. There will be two classes/groups of students, Group A and Group B. Group A students will attend on Fridays - odd weeks. Group B students will attend on Fridays - even weeks.
