DescriptionRegarding this RTO it is the school's intent to deliver. This course delivers broad-based underpinning skills and knowledge in a range of engineering and manufacturing tasks, which provides students with an understanding of the industry and the training opportunities that exist in a variety of manufacturing trades. Emphasis is placed on practical activities that involve a range of machinery and tools that will be encountered in the work place. This course is designed to engage students at the initial stage of their training and is designated as tradeSKILLS level. Students who continue training at RTTC will progress through the graduated training program into tradePATH (Stage 1 SACE) followed by tradePLUS (Stage 2 SACE).
PathwaysStudents will be encouraged to actively pursue continued training in Engineering tradePATH the following year. These courses may provide eligibility for WorkReady funding (subject to age restrictions and changes to WorkReady – Subsidised Training List).

Special RequirementsHi visibility shirt and jumper, and combination lock (for locker) will be ordered on behalf of the student (at cost) and provided at the start of the course. An itemised cost breakdown will be included in the cost to students. These items will remain the property of the student. Black steel cap boots and blue work trousers to be purchased by students prior to commencement.

The Training Centre is located adjacent to Mt Carmel College on the corner of Russell Street and Symon Street. Student car parking is available.

This course runs in Semester 2. There will be two classes/groups of students, Group A and Group B. Group A students will attend on Fridays - odd weeks. Group B students will attend on Fridays - even weeks.

This consists of a $100 (GST free) Regional VET fee and $99.00 (GST included) for a workshop kit, high viz shirt/jumper and personal consumables, payable to your Home School.
Home School Cost$580.00
This consists of a $580.00 (GST free) RTO fee including White Card cost of $120 (GST free) (invoiced to the Home School).
