DescriptionThis course encompasses a variety of practical skills and theoretical units related to working in the business sector. Students will learn: • to work as a member of a team • how to provide a high standard of customer service • to accept the responsibilities of their position in the workplace • to identify work priorities and make decisions • organisational skills • to recognise opportunities in the workplace for development and improvement • an understanding of the relevant legislations relating to the business sector • their responsibilities regarding work, health and safety procedures • to produce business documents.
PathwaysThis course leads onto tertiary education or employment in this industry such as: customer service officer, business management, business administration, receptionist or clerical officer.
PrerequisitesSatisfactory literacy and numeracy skills.

5 days, if required. Placement must be in a business/logistics environment.
SACE DetailsSACE Stage 2, 65 SACE credits
All units completed by students enrolled in the Certificate 3 in Business will accrue Stage 2 credits (70 nominal hours = 10 Stage 2 SACE credits).
QualificationCertificate III in Business (National code BSB30115)
Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency, but not the full Qualification, are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment. Students who exit the course before completion may satisfy the requirements for the Basic Customer Engagement Skill Set.

This consists of $100 (GST free) Regional VET fee, payable to your Home School.
Home School Cost$450.00
This consists of a $300 (GST free) course cost and $150 (GST free) RTO fee. This will be invoiced to the Home School from Ocean View College B-12.
