DescriptionRegarding this RTO it is the school's intent to deliver. This Certificate III in Brick and Block Laying tradePLUS program builds on Building and Construction (Multi Trade) skills, to extend students into specialised field of brick and block laying work. This course is endorsed and supported by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and Australian Brick and Blocklaying Training Foundation.
PathwaysStudents will gain skills appropriate to a defined pathway into a bricklaying apprenticeship.
PrerequisitesCertificate I in Construction or Certificate II in Construction tradePATH. CITB Number.
Special RequirementsHigh visibility shirt and jumper and combination lock (for locker) will be ordered on behalf of the student (at cost) and provided at the start of the course. An itemised cost breakdown will be included in the cost to students. Black steel-capped boots and khaki work trousers to be purchased by students prior to commencement.

Structured Workplace Learning forms an integral part of the training at this level to reinforce industry standards and development of employability skills. In accepting the CITB subsidy for this course, students are obliged to complete 10 days of workplace learning.

Student Cost$480.00
This consists of a $100 (GST free) Regional VET fee and $380 (including GST) for Personal Protective Equipment and tools, payable to your Home School. These items will remain the property of the student.
Home School Cost$1,260.00
The Fee For Service RTO cost of this course will be $1260 (GST free), invoiced to the Home School by the RTO. This is based on a CITB subsidy of $9.50 per nominal hour for 280 nominal hours, and a gap payment of $4.50 per nominal hour.

Selection ProcessApplicants will be required to provide evidence of previous training (Statement of Results) and Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) in the building and construction sector in 2018. Interviews will be conducted during November 2018.
Orientation DetailsStudents are encouraged to attend the information day on Wednesday 22 August, 15:30 to 19:30, to speak to current trainees and lecturers.
