DescriptionThis course will prepare you for a future career in an early childhood setting, and teach you how to provide a healthy, safe and caring environment for children.
PathwaysThis qualification can lead to employment in childcare centres or family day care. Students may also like to go on to further study in this area.
PrerequisitesStudents must meet the Language, Literacy and Numeracy requirements. A basic understanding of computers is also required.
Special RequirementsStudents must have access to a computer and the internet. Students will require the following DCSI screenings: Child related employment Disability services employment Aged Care sector employment General employment probity Vulnerable person related employment Students should arrange this screening with their Home School before the course commences.

This consists of $100 (GST free) Regional VET fee and $57.20 (GST included) for DCSI History Screening, payable to your Home School. The Home School is to organise the DCSI screening.

This consists of $300 (GST free) course cost and $240 for First Aid and RAN training. This will be invoiced to the Home School from Thebarton Senior College.
