DescriptionRegarding this RTO it is the school's intent to deliver. Students will undertake a program related to the furniture production industry. Skills developed include timber construction techniques and related work practices including safety, communication in the workplace, measurements and calculations. Wood Machinists and other Wood Trades Workers set up and operate woodworking machines and wood turning lathes to shape wood, finish and polish furniture, and make frames.
PathwaysPotential career pathways include furniture making, cabinet making, office fitting and construction, furniture finishing, picture frame process worker, soft furnishing worker, floor preparation worker – timber, floor covering and finishing worker.
Special RequirementsStudents must conform to WH&S requirements and industry safety standards. Safety boots (lace up or pull on) and safety glasses must be worn. Students will also need a USI number - please register at

This consists of $100 (GST free) Regional VET fee payable to your Home School. Henley High School students will need to refer to the HHS Curriculum Handbook for costs.
Home School Cost$475.00
This consists of $300 (GST free) course cost, $150 (including GST) for consumables and $25 (GST free) RTO fees. This will be invoiced to the Home School from Henley High School.
