DescriptionThis course exposes students to aspects of both cookery and front of house work. It is a flow on qualification from the Certificate II in Hospitality, yet students who have do not have any prior hospitality qualifications can still be considered for enrolment. Students will complete units relating to hygiene, safe practice, kitchen maintenance and every day operations, interaction with other staff and customers as well as preparing a variety of foods and beverages.
PathwaysThis qualification provides a pathway to work in various catering settings, such as hospitals and aged care facilities, sporting and entertainment venues, hotel banqueting departments, cook–chill production kitchens, and mobile catering businesses of varying size. Possible job titles include: catering assistant, cook, food service assistant.
